  8. This version is for MC68020 and higher. A MC68000 version may be found

  11. AmiComSys is a program which you use to communicate with
  12. other people on a tcp/ip-net - e.g Internet. At the same time it make it
  13. easier to find people's IP-addresses and homepages.
  14.  
  15. It uses AMarquee.library by Jeremy Friesner for most of it's network handling.
  16. Now you can say Hi! to your friends on the net, or just see if they are
  17. connected.

  25. * have a private chat, with photos.

  89. The hotline were not working. Hm. last second fix.
  90. The TAB-completion weren't working as intended.
  91. The ICQ # were not saved.
  92. MUI-codes were saved in the Chat-window's save function, that
  93. was not intended. User enterned and user left is also not saved anymore.

  99. Now you are able to connect to clients behind a firewall with PChat
  100. and SendFile fully transparently, if you are not behind a firewall yourself.
  101. Set the setting "I'm behind a firewall" in the network settings if
  102. your are behind a firewall or have very restricted access in Miami-IP-filter
  103. (if port 1024-32767 is rejected).
  104.  
  105. AmiComSys now can check your Pagoo message box at regular intervals, so you don't
  106. have to waste your time looking at your online center manually.
  107. Look at http://www.pagoo.com for more info about Pagoo.
  108. When a new message arrives a message will pop up after a while (depends
  109. on your settings) asking you to visit your Online Pagoo Message Box.
  110. Pagoo already provide you with the service to send you an email asking
  111. you to visit your Message Box online. If you want you can switch that service
  112. off and use AmiComSys instead, but it is you choice. Personally I like this
  113. better, I don't want my in-box in YAM filled with Pagoo-notifications. I'm
  114. too lazy to delete them :)

  116. You can set the position of the iconify-icon of the mainwindow in
  117. the Iconification-settings at the Program-settings-page.

  120. Add a link to a photo of yourself in the Personal-settings-System tab, so
  121. the one your are chatting with, via PChat, may download the photo and
  122. having it inserted into the PChat window.

  126. One can see if a client is away or busy by looking into the client info
  127. window, but now registered users can see it directly in the list. The letter
  128. # or * at the beginning of each client in the list will change to a '&' for away
  129. status and a '%' for busy status.

  132. The message history is now automatically saved when the connection
  133. to the server is lost, instead of when the program quit. If found out that
  134. if you have AmiComSys in SYS:WBStartup you never quit it!
  135. AutoSave must still be set to on in the Windows-settings - Message History tab.
  136. This is disabled in the unregistered version of AmiComSys.

  138. The message you enter in the Hotline will be inserted into the list
  139. directly, without first waiting for it to come back from server. It think
  140. this is better and I think most of the IRC clients for Amiga are using this
  141. technique.

  143. Messages which is for you is now highlighted in the HotLine.

  145. If you are using Tab-completion in the HotLine and seek word entered is
  146. ambigous the first entry in the client list will be inserted. If this
  147. is not the right one, just press Tab again and the next entry in the list will

  153. It's now possible to hide your IP-address/host name from the client-list.
  154. Settable in the security settings at the network-settings-page. This is
  155. only working for registered users.

  157. If you have an ICQ # you can insert it into the Pagoo/ICQ settings. Then
  158. people can see you ICQ# in the client-list, and it will also link to your
  159. personal ICQ Message center.

  161. You can now enter a second home page in the personal settings. Choose
  162. between a ftp-site or a second homepage.

  164. Added settings "Enable Message Center" at the network-security settings
  165. page. Default is checked, i.e, enabled. If you disable it people can't send
  166. you messages from the AmiComSys Message Center at the AmiComSys home page.

  182. BUGFIX:
  183. The icon was buggy. Resaved it with another program
  184.  
  185. Connection refused was showed in pchat when one of the people connected
  186. broke the connection (only in multi-PChat (Invite selected client)).

  188. Only the registered version of AmiComSys received messages sent
  189. from the AmiComSys-server, i.e. messages sent from the Message-Center
  190. and other important messages from the author (the permissions weren't set
  191. right) :(

  193. Only the first user in the ignore list was actually ignored, the rest
  194. was ignored by AmiComSys :(

  196. If going from offline status to invisible status, info about the client
  197. was sent. Therefore it was showed in the list for a while in the list before
  198. it was deleted.

  201. The info in the upper part of the window sometimes were printed on top of the
  202. list! Should be fixed now.

  204. AmiComSys freezed if the message requester failed to open due to
  205. unsufficient memory.
